Titan Europe at Agritechnica in Hannover 2011

Titan Europe is attending AGRITECHNICA 2011 in Hannover, one of the most important international exhibitions for the mechanical machinery sector, which will be held from 15 to 19 November.

AGRITECHNICA is an international meeting place for workers in the agricultural technical sector where innovations are launched, trends are set and visions are discussed, all from an agricultural and economical viewpoint.

The top international machinery manufacturers will attend the event, which is aimed at distributors, agricultural service providers and farmers.

Titan Europe will present its latest wheel innovations for tractors and harvesters, narrow wheels for special crops, multi-piece wheels for earthmoving machinery, as well as its latest product developments regarding ramp brakes and hydraulic drive units.

A number of products manufactured by the Titan ITM Group will also be on display. AGRITECHNICA is a great opportunity to meet our customers on our stand, which offers a comfortable environment to discuss market trends and our business interests.

Ramp brakes – TITAN ITALIA

In the Sirmac di Calcara (BO) plant, Titan Italia manufactures a wide range of standard wet ramp brakes designed to meet the needs of today’s most commonly requested requirements, with sizes going from 4” to 9.5”.

In conjunction with one of the leading manufacturers in the sector, the company is currently developing a new 12” multi-disk wet ramp brake with wedge control for high-power (350-400 Hp) and high-speed tractors (50-60 km/h), with a hydraulic actuating system for the service brakes and a mechanical system for the parking/emergency brake.

Validation tests on the test rig are scheduled to take place in October 2011.

The outstanding feature of this brake is that it can be activated with traditional hydraulic and mechanical drive units, as well as with standard air activated units for heavy commercial vehicles with the parking function integrated.

This brake will be the largest of its kind on the market using this technology and represents an important addition to the range of ramp brakes cooled by oil, a sector where Titan is the global leader and partner to the top tractor manufacturers.
